Posted on May 5, 2017
Every Saturday morning, rain or shine, holiday or not, the Black Collective meets at the Colored Women’s Club in Tacoma.
Meetings are prompt and packed, but seats are abundant. We go around the room one-by-one and discuss topics pertaining to people of color.
Innovative concepts mixed with treasured wisdom, the hour in a half meetings fly by- ending in a prayer circle, holding hands and singing the Happy Birthday song.
Sharing coffee and and endless conversation, while waiting for breakfast to be served.
The Black Collective welcomes every guest with open arms. It’s important get involved in the community and mix conversations of the young and the wise so that we produce positive results for generations to come.
Thank you Black Collective, see you Saturday!
